Jed Cooper began his career as a financial advisor after learning how his passion for business management could be applied to the finances of individuals with discipline and emotion.
The decision to leave the “big Wall Street” career and form Annadel Capital with a long-time associate was motivated by a shared desire to offer a limited number of clients access to a more individualized – and more responsive – service experience.
Jed graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. degree in 1974. In 1976, he received his master’s degree in international business from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). He began his career in financial services with Bank of America in 1976.
Beginning in 1978 at Dean Witter, now Morgan Stanley, Jed spent 20 years working for 4 different financial services firms as Vice President of Investments, primarily involved with creating and monitoring portfolio strategies for high-net-worth individuals.
In 1998, Jed drew on his Wall Street background to co-found, along with Gregg Smith, an independent, regional Registered Investment Advisory firm – his passion for dealing directly with people was more rewarding then continuing in the corporate world.
Jed, and his wife Kalleen, have resided in Kewnood, Sonoma County, CA since 1980, where he has raised his 5 children and been very involved in community service. His personal interests involve almost anything to do with the ocean (fishing for salmon, rock fish, crabs), hiking (climbed both Shasta and Whitney), bird watching (member of the Redwood Regional Ornithological Society), sports fan, and amateur metaphysics student.
